The transport frames were produced at KIMUA’s facilities in May and are already being used for the maritime transport of ADWEN’s S3 tower sections.
This time, production process was inspected by DNV-GL surveyors from beginning to end; as a consequence, the frames were manufactured not only according to ADWEN’s specifications for offshore tooling, but also to DNV-GL’s guidelines.
In order to certify this job KIMUA was requested to maintain a very tight quality control during the whole process; this included selecting high quality materials suppliers only, demonstrating adequate welding qualifications and being able to trace each component of the frames back to its heat number.
This year we participated in OMS 2025 (Operations, Maintenance & Safety Conference), the reference event for the operation and maintenance of wind farms, organized by American Clean Power (ACP).
